Located at 124 E Palm Ave, Burbank, CA 91502, Chubby Dumplings operates as a shanghainese serving Burbank in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Wow. This place KNOWs how to do soup dumplings. The soup is rich with a good pork flavor, and I personally think better than din tai fung. There was a bit of a wait, but they made up for it with an extra dumpling in apology. Please try it.

I really wanted to like Chubby Dumplings, especially since it's so nicely located to the AMC theater I go to a lot. And while the interior is nice and attractive, the food was a disappointing let down. We ordered the Popcorn Chicken and the Black Pepper Wagyu Dumplings and they were both tough and chewy, as if they came out of the freezer and microwaved. Both were slightly cool instead of hot, so if they've een sitting around for a while too. At least the Popcorn Chicken did taste like regular popcorn chicken even though it was lacking the nice tenderness and texture I would expect from it, but the black pepper Wagyu dumpling simply does not taste anything like Wagyu or much of anything for that matter. The dumpling wrapping didn't seem like it was steamed on a pan, and lack that softness that can just melt in your mouth. The best part of our meal was us mixing the soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil together so we can have some decent flavor to add to the lackluster dumplings. There is potential to the menu, they just need to serve better food.

Just got out of amc and decided to pop in. I wasnβt expecting authentic Taiwanese dishes in dt Burbank but I was really pleasantly surprised with how tasty the dan dan noodles were and how crispy the popcorn chicken was! The noodle texture was really great and they definitely got the popcorn chicken right. Excited to try their dumplings next time!

The dumplings are SO good!! Iβm definitely coming back here. I had the pork dumplings along with the popcorn chicken and it was the best. Itβs also a lot of food! The lady who helps us up front and brought our food to the table, was the sweetest person ever. I appreciated her a lot.

A very positive experience! I mean how can you not go into a place called chubby dumplings? It just begs to be visited. I mean you would really have to question your very existence if the name alone does not attract your attention. βΊοΈπ€© Come on, aren't you a little bit curious? Are they really chubby? What's inside? Do they taste good? Yes, all that. They tasted good and they were very squishy, warm and tasty. I tried the chicken dumplings and I would definitely go back for them. Eight for $10 is also a fair price. The service was very good, I ordered on the takeout screen and an employee brought it outside to me. Very polite and nice people. Will definitely come here again.
